selida receives what you send it: the reels you forward to @heyselida and the texts you type in that thread — and, if you add a brand, what you point it at: your website, and optionally your own Instagram account. That is the only data it collects.
To write your summary, two processors handle each reel on our behalf: the reel's audio goes to OpenAI to be transcribed, and the caption, transcript, and sampled frames go to Anthropic to write the summary. Both process your content only to provide the service, under API terms that exclude using it to train their models. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or given to anyone else.
If you have selida shoot a video, a third processor is involved: Atlas Cloud, which runs ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 model to generate the footage. It receives the shot description written from your script and the reference stills for the presenter and room you chose. It does not receive your Instagram identity, your library, or anything you did not put in that script.
If you add a brand, selida reads it to build your brand profile: the pages of the website you give it, and — only if you connect your Instagram account — your own posts (captions, links, like and comment counts) and your bio. It pulls out facts about your business to write your scripts and videos, and keeps each one with a note of where it came from. The pages and captions are read by the same Anthropic models that write your summaries, under the same terms. You can see, edit, and delete every fact on your brand page, and disconnecting your Instagram deletes everything that was learned from it.
What we store: your Instagram user id, the reels you forwarded (caption, link, transcript, summary), your brand profile and its facts, any videos you have had shot, and usage counts. Transcript pages are unlisted — not indexed or listed anywhere, but viewable by anyone who has the link.
How long: transcripts and the pages built from them are kept until you delete them or ask us to. Nothing expires on its own, and nothing is kept once you have asked for it to go.
